Spanish Class Week Ending 5/26

Grade 5 – In class we continued our exploration of -IR Verbs. Students worked to create sentences using the plural pronouns Nosotros, Vosotros, Ellos, Ellas, and Ustedes and the -IR verbs that we have been practicing. Following that, as a class we shared our examples and translated them together. For homework, the students were given a worksheet to complete which was designed to assess their understanding of both -ER and -IR Verbs. Additionally, the students were informed they would be having a quiz on -IR Verbs on Monday June 4, 2018

Grade 2 – In class we continued our exploration of our color vocabulary. Students completed a worksheet that focused on their association of words to colors as well as a word search to help practice their vocabulary. The students do not have any homework due next class. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Students worked to create sentences using the plural pronouns Nosotros, Vosotros, Ellos, Ellas, and Ustedes and the -IR verbs that we have been practicing. Kindergarten – During class we continued our exploration of the Spanish Alphabet. We completed letter packets on the Letters Y and Z, ending our unit on the alphabet. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Grade 7 – In class we continued our exploration of -IR Verbs. Grade 8 – Our class conflicted with the Science Performance Test. As a result, I only had half of the class during Spanish. We worked on an -ER and -IR Verb worksheet to prepare for the test they are taking in 2 weeks. Those who completed the worksheet will have it graded as classwork. The other half will be given the worksheet next week.

Grade 1 – In class the students took their exam on the Spanish Alphabet. I will be grading them over the next few days and have the grades on Option C as soon as possible. We then began our introductory exploration of the color related vocabulary.There is no homework due next week.

Grade 3 – In class, we explored the family related vocabulary. The students learned 24 new vocabulary words. For homework, the students need to write out 1 through 13 two (2) times each. Additionally, the students will be having a vocabulary quiz on June 6, 2018.The presentation with list of vocabulary words is attached in this email.Please let me know if you have any questions.
