On Monday, May 28 we were closed in honor of Memorial Day. As a result, Grades 5, 2, 4, 6, K, and 7 did not have Spanish Class.
Grade 8 – In class the students were broken up into 2 groups. The first group completed the ER and IR Worksheet that some students worked on last class during the Science Performance Exam. Those students who already completed the worksheet, worked in groups to create a learning activity. The example I used was that before an exam, I give them an activity where we do Spanish Jeopardy. They had to make their own type of game that they would want me to use. Some examples included Old Maid, Apples to Apples, and Monopoly. The students will take the Verb Test next week. Grade 1 – In class, we continued our exploration of Spanish colors. The students completed a coloring activity along with a word search. There was no homework assigned for next class. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Grade 3 – In class, we continued to work on our family related vocabulary. Students completed some short questions in pairs that worked on family relationships (one such example being “Who is the father of my father” with the answer being El Abuelo.) Following those questions, students practiced a sample family tree which emphasized these relationships we worked on. This was in preparation for the quiz they will be taking next week as well as for the Family Tree Activity we will do in 2 weeks.
